Not easy to reach by land, although a knobby-tired scooter can negotiate the often washed-out road.

If the road is in good condition, a truck taxi can make it. There's a shuttle from Thong Sala.

Otherwise, your best bet is to catch a long tail taxi boat.

The bungalow in the photo is one of dozens of extremely interesting and unique places to stay here.

Even getting to this beach is not always easy, especially when the road is washed out, but you can also get here by boat or scooter if you're feeling adventurous.

Simple, inexpensive beach view bungalows with unique designs, and sometimes a lot of steps. There's a small restaurant and bar up top, with a beautiful deck overlooking the sea.

One of my favorite spots in Thailand.
