This was a beautiful resort in a very nice location. Unfortunately, two of the pools were closed when we were there for maintenance and the weather wasn’t very nice so we were unable to use the beach facilities. There was only one restaurant open for supper dining options. We had to pay for a shuttle into town or you could walk about 20 minutes. It is a bigger resort and felt a little bit more impersonal than some of the smaller properties we’ve stayed at on our trip to Vietnam. Although the staff were friendly and helpful, you didn’t get as much of a personal touch as you do in some smaller places.

Doppelzimmer mit "Oceanview" - echt toller Ausblick! Vom Zimmer, von der Rooftop Bar aus und auch vom Frühstückssaal! Einfach traumhaft! Wir waren Ende März/Anfang April dort. Das wiiiiirklich große Hotel mit 3 Gebäuden war erschreckend leer, wir fühlten uns teilweise etwas deplatziert. Nur beim Frühstück hat man andere Gäste gesehen. Die Bar oben und der Strand waren ebenfalls kaum besucht. Warum, kann ich nicht sagen. Beide Orte waren sehr schön! Die Zimmer waren sehr komfortabel. Sehr großes gemütliches Bett. Die Dusche war eigentlich eine Badewanne. Beim Duschen hat man quasi das gesamte Bad unter Wasser gesetzt. Die ElektroShuttle in die Stadt für je 10.000Dong pro Person pro Fahrt waren echt praktisch. Leider konnte das Personal an der Rezeption den Vorgang hierzu nicht gut erklären. Insgesamt war das Personal an der Rezeption eher etwas ungeduldig und genervt. Das Frühstück war erstklassig! Es gab einfach alles! Insgesamt sehr schick!!!! Es fehlt für mich aber der Feinschliff zum richtig Wohlfühlen

Hotel was clean and spacious. The view from the room was lovely. Breakfast was good. My partner and I were shocked at how busy the hotel was, which we probably should have expected from such a large hotel. In addition to this, the infinity pool was closed for maintenance and the 'charm pool' was only half open, with half of it appearing very green.

Breakfast was amazing! So many options. Everything was excellent. They even upgraded us to a bigger balcony. Staff are very attending to our needs from the moment we arrived til when we left. The room was so spacious and clean. Washroom cleanliness is really important to me and they have made sure it is spotless. Will recommend to my family and friends. Loved our stay!!

Our room was spacious although bathroom a little dated however it was very clean and quite comfortable. We booked a Central Ocean View with furnished balcony on the 12th Floor of middle tower. The view was amazing!

Clean room. Not all pools were accessible at the time of our stay, but indoor pool was lovely, steam room was out of action but sauna was good. Ouside pool was cold but refreshing, a bit early in the season for this one. Restaurants good, so many food options. It took a little time for us to work out the lift and bridge access between the 3 buildings but got there. Beaches were gorgeous and Cat Ba Town easy direct walk or lovely coastal path just slightly longer. Really loved our stay here.

Tout était impeccable et le personnel était sympathique, aimable, dévoué et très aidant. En particulier, j’aimerais souligner l’aide inestimable de Quang (et de son équipe). Il a été très proactif pour nous aider avec quelques soucis que nous avons eus concernant des excursions et un moyen de transport pour sortir de l’île. Il était en mode solution et il nous a assistés en nous proposant diverses alternatives dans ces dossiers qui n’étaient pas en lien avec l’hôtel comme tel. Tout le personnel de l’hôtel a été vraiment chic, souriant et très aimable, tout autant au restaurant du buffet déjeuner, au restaurant Sea La Vie et à la réception. Un grand merci pour avoir fait de notre séjour au Flamingo Cat Ba un souvenir inoubliable.

Excellent location, quiet, except for Birds and Langurs 😍. Very attentive staff, excellent breakfast and lovely sea view rooms.

Very clean, always cleaned up, free items restocked by cleaning crew. Very friendly staf throughout the building in all areas of service from outside the gates to every part of the hotel facilities. Short 10 minute walk to main area of the city. Amazing beach and views of the sea. nice hiking trail nearby of the coast.

The property at first looks amazing but other than the pool/gym, every has a cost that too on a higher side- so nobody was in the arcade or spa- it was was all deserted - even the rooftop bar. The hotel is quite commercialized much like USA and lacks Viet hospitality or the human touch. No area for bottle refill, the shuttle to town has a cost, and when it is time to checkout, they shove you out at the exact moment the clock struck a 12noon. We lived in Vietnam for 15 days in 5 different cities and hotels but this one even with the amazing location and supposedly exceptional amenities ranks the lowest for me. The breakfast has a good selection but many items aren’t labeled and most staff doesn’t understand English. It was difficult to identify meat and all. It’s better to live in smaller hotel, with warm staff and better vibes.

Great place to stay on Cat Ba island. It’s close enough to town to walk to restaurants yet away from all the massive construction sites so it’s quiet. The hotel is beautiful. Comfortable modern rooms and fantastic breakfast buffet. The beach is nice too. The staff were very nice and amazingly helpful. Highly recommend!

This hotel has excellent facilities. I would recommend this IF and ONLY if you are traveling with children and need to keep them occupied. If ambience, food, relaxation, etc, are important, I would not recommend. Maybe because it was off season, food options were extremely limited. Usually only one restaurant was available to dine in and you had to purchase the special buffet. Room service options consisted of pizza and similar "western" options. The pastries were old and chewy. The spa is staffed by inexperienced therapists. I had intended on booking several services and stopped my first session early. The onsen is nice... however... i saw several individuals spitting into the water. This hotel seems to cater to a specific group of clientele who are loud and do not discipline their children. Multiple times, I was unable to rest soundly due to loud hallway conversations, children running through the corridor, and other noises well past midnight. The staff is friendly. The views are great. The beds are comfortable. However, I will not stay here again for a relaxing trip.
