"I had the most relaxing and healing stay at Ajisai. It is in a beautiful quiet setting and the hot springs are fantastic. The staff was incredibly helpful and even helped me retrieve a lost item. The dinner was very memorable and totally worth it - traditional Japanese food that was quite delicious. I will visit here again someday!"

"This was a highlight on our Japan trip, quite possibly the best vacation experience I’ve ever had. The property was beautiful and we had the most unique dining experience. I appreciated that Mushashino Bekkan highlighted local cuisine, making it ever more special. The private hot springs were set among breathtaking landscape. It felt like a dream!"

"We were beyond impressed with our stay! The lake view was beautiful and looked exactly as advertised. The unit was very clean, modern, and spacious. We really appreciated and enjoyed the complimentary beverages (including alcohols), snacks, and even dessert cake! The only small hiccup was during the check-in process where after filling out all the information, we needed to be connected to a virtual agent for live verification. There was no agent available for about 5 minutes - we kept trying and was able to eventually connect with an agent, but it was a little panicky during those 5 minutes."

"Gora is the best private onsen you can stay at in Hakone. Traditional ryokan at its finest, Japanese style or western style rooms with a private bath in room. Large natural baths and indoor bathing areas, seasonal ingredient kaiseki set dinner and breakfast included! Staff is always 5* service and lovely. Bit out of the way up the mountain but worth the trip. "
