"Clean comfortable room, loved the rainfall shower"

"The front desk staff are not very friendly. Checking in I was told they didn’t have a reservation for me - gave them my confirmation number and she still had trouble. I had reserved 2 rooms, she put us on opposite sides of the hotel - asked if we could be closer, and she replied, “No”. Asked about breakfast she pointed where it was served; the next morning after we ate a young man asked us for a “voucher” - “it’s not included with the room.” The call service on the first floor was horrible, along with the WiFi. Then when we checked out the gal said, “I have you in 2 different rooms “ - I explained that was where she put us. The maintenance gentleman was great."

"Awful. Save your $, this is a roach motel. Not at all as advertised. Would not refund for a dirty, ceiling falling in, non air, bug motel. Yuck. "

"I've stayed in this hotel many times over the years. The night I checked in, at 10pm, for my pre-paid 4 night stay I somehow had misplaced my credit card during the trip from Dallas to be used for "incidentals" and didn't have it with me. Granted, I stayed there 10 days before and am a Gold Member with Choice Awards. The individual manning the desk wouldn't let me check in without the card. Regardless of any of my credentials, history and pre-payment status. She said there were "rules" that had to be followed. So, there I was, 10 O'Clock at night, 500 miles from home, no credit card, no options other than to sleep in my car. In my opinion, there are several words that describe such treatment: inhumane, unkind, unreasonable, inexcusable, inconsiderate, inhospitable, unethical, unprofessional. These people are supposed to be in the "hospitality" business. You would think a service business would put a repeat customer first. Don't think they understand their mission. Fortunately, as I settled in my car preparing to sleep in the parking lot, I discovered the credit card between the seats, returned and successfully checked in. However, the damage was done. I hope this review is witnessed by a lot of travelers and hotel purveyors. Sometimes self imposed "rules" shouldn't apply."

"The Cyrus Hotel is in a great area of downtown in walking distance to the capitol and restaurants including The Weather Room which is in the hotel. It is nicely decorated with comfortable bed. The only thing you should be aware of if you have a car is that you pay $14 per night for parking. The parking garage has hotel spaces from floor 8 and up and will have to walk across an alley to get back to the hotel. If you do park, be sure to keep one room key after you check out or you won’t be able to get into or out of the garage when you leave."

"The only ice machine for the entire hotel was on the third floor and it was always out of ice. Disappointing."
