This is a small hotel of only 13 rooms. Our hotel room though a superior room was old and tired. The hotel though is well located for old town Hanoi. Breakfast was in a different hotel around the corner but had a good choice of food. The staff, particularly Ms Angela (whose English is impeccable), were great.

Breakfast was around the corner in their sister hotel, staff were a little slow, had to ask for a coffee cup, the milk had ran out and took several minutes for them to top up even though the dining room is about the size of a standard living room in someone’s house and the kitchen just off it! Hotel in a great location tho so we just went elsewhere for breakfast.

Absolutely not what is in the pictures. Our shower flooded and had sewer smell. Not worth the price. We stayed at other hotels around this same price point. This was the grossest. The staff member who checked us in was cold and unhelpful. Location is good. Does not look like the pics. Luckily we only stayed one night.

Our stay at Lotus Hotel was a very good experience overall, but there was one element that truly made all the difference: Angela. True to the meaning of her name, she was an angel during our stay. From our very first contact through messages, Angela was always kind, responsive, polite, and extremely attentive. She patiently answered all of our questions, helped us organize and book our tours, guided us around the city, and even assisted us with a room upgrade. Her professionalism, warmth, and genuine care created the most memorable part of our stay. Without a doubt, Angela’s dedication and support were the highlight of our experience at the hotel. Starting out with the check-in. What you were being quoted is not the exact amount unless you play with cash. Credit card 3% service fee. I considered that a bake & switch. Room is good size but it is dated and it shows it's age. No breakfast onsite, you have walk about 1.5 blocks to another sister property for breakfast. The breakfast there was very limited in selection. The worst part is you can only choose ONE item. If you pick two fried eggs, you can't have the chicken noodle. Two fried eggs are all you can have from the menu that morning.

The room is very old and down graded; sink and shower stand weren’t drained well. There wasn’t enough staff to assist you; our room was on the 8th floor, but the elevator could go up to only 7th, we had to bring our luggages up and down ourselves. Breakfast was very simple, not much of variety. Luckily we paid only one night here.

The room wasn’t as advertised. Very small, not open like the picture. Not enough coffee and tea for two people. Batteries were falling out of safe so you couldn’t leave anything in it. Only one card per room which is inconvenient. It was a good value and good location but I wouldn’t stay there if in Hanoi.

The room was always clean, the staff were courteous & very helpful. Most especially Miss Han, who is the daytime receptionist. She went out of her way to help us in any of our needs. She was instrumental in the return of my lost wallet in the transportation the hotel provided.
