"Diana at the front desk is the only bright spot who can be mentioned from this terrible facility. Hotels.com had a room listed as one king bed plus 2 double beds. The hotel does not have a room with 3 beds. So we were given a room with 2 double beds only. Diana was wonderful in helping us out. But I can’t say anything else good about this bad hotel. The only coffee in the hotel is at a very, very bad (and excruciatingly slow and expensive) “Starbucks” that is only opened at breakfast. After that you can’t get coffee until the next day. Our hotel room was not cleaned and, evidently, the person who was supposed to clean our room had no idea how to make up the bed. Make sure you have plenty of small bills in your wallet because there is no way to get change for even a 20 dollar bill in the entire hotel because the front desk doesn’t have any cash and the valet stand is the only cash option. But they didn’t have any cash either. So you’re out of luck. If dinner is what you want then there is only One kitchen at the hotel. So you can watch your food being carted across the hotel lobby. However, the food isn’t covered. I guess Covid information hasn’t yet reached this “establishment”. Please don’t waste your money staying at this hotel. This is the worst hotel (?) we’ve stayed at in many, many years. There are other hotels in the area that are cleaner, nicer and worth your money."

"The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The location is excellent if you're taking a cruise, as it's very close to the cruise port and makes embarkation day much easier. While the hotel is a bit pricey for what you get, you're largely paying for the convenience of being so close to the port. Overall, it's a great option for cruise travelers looking for a clean hotel in a convenient location."

"Excelente hotel lo recomiendo a todos. Muy cerca del puerto de crucero. La transportación del Aéreopuerto al Hotel tardo como 1 hora. Cerca de muchos restaurantes y supermercados y tiendas caminando. Habitaciones super limpias, cafe 24 horas, desayuno completo y muy bueno. Piscina limpia y grande. La transportación para el puerto de cruceros mejor es con aplicaciónes de transporte mas económico. Habitaciones conectadas excelentes para familias."

"The parking is $20 a day extra and the parking lot guys thought I was picking someone up so they sent me to the wrong area, I had to do a crazy turn around as their shuttles were all parked there. Hotel is okay not like most (higher end) Crowne Plazas I've stayed at."

"I've come here a handful of times, usually bringing my son for a late August trip. This visit was to celebrate his high school graduation, so earlier - end of May. I reserved an executive suite and was quite disappointed at how dated and worn the room was. It was depressing. The worst was a pillow had several long hairs on it, leaking tub faucet, a dead moth-type bug in the bathroom (it's Florida) and ants in the bathroom and bedroom. When I woke up to an ant on my arm, I freaked out thinking it was my worst nightmare - a bed bug. I began to wonder if all the bedding could be dirty, not just the one pillow. It bothered me so much. I contemplated checking out early and chalking it up as a loss, but I decided to talk to staff who kindly agreed to transfer us to a new room. While a smaller room, not a suite, it was much better and similar to past visits. That said, it was a tad outdated. The pool was filled with dead bugs and so much sand. I gave up and went inside. Everyone was friendly, even security who banged on the door at 1105 asking when I was leaving although the front desk agreed earlier to letting us stay an extra hour (12pm). Parking also had security standing outside, different from past visits but no issue as they must be addressing some issues with random visitors. I don't think we'll return for a sixth visit. Lago Mar has passed its prime and there are nicer, similarly priced resorts. I am very grateful for the memories and will hope mgmt invests in renovations."
