"The staff, food and view were incredible. The room could be cleaner we were upgraded to a suite for an extra cost and the sink knobs were rusted, the tub was growing mold in small areas and glass doors and closer mirror doors were not clean. We stayed for 5 nights and used the dining table often it was never cleaned the entire time we were there. We also encounter large cockroaches at the gift shop and near the room. Made staff aware right before checking out and their response was thank you we will pass it on to management,"

"Staff were very friendly from the moment you walk into their office to check in. Rooms were clean and met our needs. I didnt know the gameroom could be reserved and their was a birthday party the day we tried to use it but its ok we still used the pool and now know in advance we can book a reservation for it. "We had a great experience from check in through check out. Our room was upgraded at check in to a room with an ocean view and we were given fresh lei’s. Our room key was in the form of a waterproof bracelet so we didn’t have to worry about carrying a card with us. The resort was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and had wonderful service poolside. What we didn’t expect was how great the snorkeling was off the beach that is about a 10 minute walk from property. We had dinner at the restaurant on their property, the Canoe House. We reserved a table there well in advance and was the original reason we decided to stay at this resort. The head chef was the winner of the most recent season of Top Chef. The staff was helpful throughout the stay. Whenever we looked like we needed help, one of the staff would stop and give us information. They offered both self and valet parking. We chose self park because we wanted easy access to our car and it was convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again on another trip to the big island."

"Great hotel with wonderful pools and beach. Wish there were more restaurant options and more free chairs on the beach, but besides that.... It was awesome."
