"Wir hatten einen rundum tollen Aufenthalt im Hotel Schützen in Steffisburg und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Der Check-in verlief absolut unkompliziert und die Betten waren unglaublich bequem – wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. "Uniquely quirky with Cowboy bar theme. Staff very nice, obliging to every request. Excellent food, buffet breakfast and Texmex dinner. Located next to busy main road roundabout with 24 hour noisy traffic, which you have to get used to over your stay. Reception staff need to inform guests of requirement to be quiet after 22.00, which is a Swiss regulation."

"We travel a lot but we have never seen such a nice staff anywhere. Shayan is a sweetheart and extremely nice and helpful. My son was sick and one of staff went out of her way to make kitchen make a soup for him. You don’t see these kind of stuff often. Thank you to all the staff.!"

"Avoid this hotel. It’s located on a steep uphill, making it very difficult to reach if you’re traveling with multiple suitcases or young children. The elevator wasn’t working, so we had to carry all our heavy luggage up to the top floor. The room had no air conditioning. It was extremely hot, and opening the windows for fresh air only filled the room with bugs. For the exorbitant price they charge, this hotel isn’t worth even 10% of the cost. I would not recommend staying here."

"It was a very relaxed atmosphere, the staff were kind and respectful to English speaking guests, all guests. The property is beautiful by the lake. It was quiet and relaxing. We loved it!!"

Unfortunately the room that we stayed in was older and not updated, plus it did not have AC (which I understand most hotel rooms in Switzerland don't but still), and so overall it just didn't feel worth the money (although all hotels are quite pricey in the area in general).
