This place was wonderful. The breakfast was top notch, like a top tier restaurant. The host Don was so friendly and went above and beyond to make guest feel welcome. We had a wonderful time at breakfast with the other guests. We definitely plan on returning! I wish we had more than one night. There were beautiful Mountain View’s as well.

Nice quiet lodge to stay at in the mountain. It is very homey, feels like staying at grandma’s house. Breakfast was delicious. We only stay a night since we’re passing through to another destination. The driveway up to the lodge is very steep but that’s normal for the area so if you have a car that doesn’t have good brakes or good transmission, it maybe a problem going up and down. The views of the mountains are beautiful. Fireplace inside the room works and each day is restock with a Duraflame log that last about 3 hrs and no smoke smell inside the room.

The owner/care taker, Don was an absolute gem. He was super nice and kind. Talking to him was easy and he was a great cook. The room was clean and big and very comfortable. There were even snacks in and out of the room. My only complaint was the super steep drive way but thats pretty normal in that area I found. Had an amazing time. Will definitely be back.

Our first bed and breakfast where breakfast was a HOT meal. Excellent breakfast with the best muffins… you feel like you’re home. The staff definitely made you feel welcomed. Exceeded my expectations. I look forward to returning again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host, Don was very hospitable. The lodge was very clean, cozy, homey, comfortable and very welcoming. The breakfasts were outstanding. Loved having water, tea, drinks and snacks available. It is very conveniently located to downtown Dahlonega as well as several wineries. We will definitely stay here again.

This mountain lodge is a wonderful alternative to a standard hotel! It has character, a decent size room and great breakfasts! The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful sunset view overlooking the mountains at night on a shared balcony. I truly enjoyed this hotel and I would return again!

The whole place is beautiful & breath taking...inside & out. The staff were VERY accommodating. The food was exceptional. The views are just so awesome. Everything was clean, neat, tidy and the atmosphere was relaxing. We had a wheelchair accessible room. It even had a walk on shower with a seat.

"The property is perfectly situated just far enough out of town to offer a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to local attractions. Kendall was an exceptional host, treating us to a delicious homemade breakfast that included freshly baked pastries and locally sourced fruits. We had a very good stay. Kendall was very nice & welcoming. She prepared our delicious breakfast & had a good conversation with her. Everything was great however the place was a little hard to find as there was no visible signage.

Outstanding hosting with tips about the area, fabulous breakfasts (home potatoes with garlic aioli!), fluffiest waffles, homemade cookies & brownies. Bed so comfortable you don’t want to get up! Beautiful sunset views of the mountains, fireflies dancing through the trees. Go and be spoiled!!

This was a beautiful property on a mountain side. The drive way is fairly steep. They had fresh homemade cookies and thoughts of beverages. The room had its own fridge and microwave. There were thoughtful areas set up with books and places to read. The breakfast was large and very flavorful. We had a fruit & yogurt parfait followed by yeast pancakes, bacon and a homemade orange/cranberry muffin. There was also juice, tea and coffee. There were nice places to sit outside to watch nature. The WiFi was solid.

Long Mountain Lodge is in an excellent location for exploring Dahlonega and the surrounding area’s trails and waterfalls. The views are amazing, the breakfasts are lavish, and the host is super friendly. However, the bed’s mattress felt like we were sleeping on rocks, the outdoor chair cushions were mildewed, and while lavish, the breakfasts were not always extraordinary, in addition to the breakfast window being limited to 8:30–9:30. We enjoyed our stay, even though we didn’t sleep particularly well. Note, too, that the temperature controls are by floor, not by room, and on our last night the guests in the room across the hall set the thermostat to freezing!!! This is a great spot to explore north Georgia, but if you are looking for posh, keep looking!
