Room design is excellent - shows big hotel chain expertise (ample space, reading lights on each side of bed, shower does not leak water, room has on/off electricity switch without card, etc. Nice customer consideration, not all corporate bottom-line features. Got the feeling that staff and admin work hard at making customer happy. 10 minute walk to huge mall (Jumbo) with two huge supermarkets (Kmarket and Prisma) Negatives: no microwave (although there is one in lobby); no room safe (although the hotel in general seems highly secure) Breakfast is pricey but worth it if one is leaving for a long flight - restaurant lady manager gives an individual friendly vibe to the breakfast. Many Finland hotels have fabulous breakfast buffets - this one is not tops, but fully satisfying -- nice choices like baked salmon.

All the things are very good- staff., rooms, food, Apart from this, the staff of the hotel is very kind and helpful in nature. The rooms are very neat and clean. Good location with shuttle to airport. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. However I chose the queen or king size bed m room on Expedia but the hotel received the reservation as only the twin bed room. I was a little disappointed with that however the bed was still comfortable.

It's okay.

Good hotel, close to the airport, decent breakfast. Only nag would be that the hotel staff does not check their emails, ignored emails for a week. It was unclear where I could catch the shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. As I was arrived after midnight, it did leave a bad taste.

Clean, "retro without intention", friendly and helpful staff, and my second stay. I think the shuttle should run every hour when there are flights coming in late at the airport. I messaged two days before to say might flight would have me at the shuttle pick up by about 1:40 AM. No response. I raced to the spot hoping, and nothing, tired, hungry, out in the cold calling numbers that did not answer with a lot of luggage. Finally, the shuttle drivers to all the other hotels who have figured out people still arrive from 1:30 AM to 3:00 AM told me that the Holiday Inn Scandic driver takes a break from 1:30 to 3:30 AM. I wish they would have confirmed this by responding to my message. The things I liked, the black out curtains were pretty good and the cleaners were not "bang bang, we like to wake everyone up" types. It is always fascinating that some places have not taught all of the staff that people are paying to sleep, not hear them bang around the neighboring rooms. It was nice to be able to get some solid sleep. They also had a nice safe place to store luggage after check out. There was also a mini fridge in the room and the shower had perfect water pressure and was actual hot water. Oh also, it would be great if they made the path from the shuttle to the check in counter more suitcase roller friendly, it has a bunch of materials that don't let the suitcases roll well. But again, minor things and I would happily stay again.

What a dump!

Staff were nice. Service beyond slow. Room terrible. Smelled like someone took a massive dump for my entire stay, except it wasn't me and it was permanent. Mattress so broken and crap I folded it against the wall and slept on the floor. Absolute crap. Holiday Isn't is a more appropriate hotel name. What a dump!
