What could be improved— because it was winter: more/extra blankets in the drawers, additional space heater if possible since the streamers aren’t superbly insulated, or heat trapping curtains as an option, double check sealants because of drafts. "Voco Newbury Hotel is a spotless place with beautiful, large rooms that have everything you need. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. The staff was okay overall. The only downside is the noise, it’s very easy to hear everything from the rooms upstairs, including walking, talking, and other noises, which can be disruptive."

"The owners of the property rent rooms to what appears is a homeless shelter. The first night we arrived, there were four police cars in front and more officers taking info from one of the homeless guests that had been beaten. The breakfast was descent, but I will likely stay elsewhere the next trip to Saugerties."
