Great accommodation and super nice staff. Beautiful resort. My only comment would be to state upfront the Green Tax and transfer charges which were a $1K surprise on checkout

Insgesamt war vieles (Villen, ein Restaurant, einzelne Bars) schon etwas älter und in die Jahre gekommen! Aber sauber und es gab sehr bequeme Betten! Ein Highlight wäre im Außenbereich zur Strandseite eine Outdoor-Dusche gewesen. Leider gab es einige kleine Tiere, die nichr so schön waren. Das Hotel hat freundlich und zuvorkommend reagiert. Insgesamt war der Service gut für die Hotelkategorie und die Preisklasse. Die Insel ist sehr groß, dadurch entstehen lange Wege - das hat Vorteile und Nachteile. Die Anreise ins Canareef ist sehr lang!

Das Servicepersonal ist absolut top. Das Management dagegen nicht so. Katzen im Speisesaal geht gar nicht. Auch nach Tagen und Ausreden keine Besserung. Keine Getränke im All inclusive Zimmer!!!! Nur auf Zuzahlung!!!!! Das geht gar nicht!!! Wege zum Restaurant sehr weit und tlw. nur mit Wagen zu erreichen. Diese brauchen tlw. mehr als 20 Min. Aber alles andere ist sehr gut. Schöner Strand, sehr freundliches Servicepersonal. Sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Alles in allem 3***

Scrivo questa recensione per smentire i commenti negativi precedenti, cercando di essere il piu obiettiva possibile. Sono stata al Canareef dall’1/01 all’ 8/01 col mio compagno, per me era la terza volta alle Maldive (ero già stata ad Alimathà in un villaggio Bravo Club). La struttura è molto grande, dotata di 4 ristoranti e due bar. L’isola è stretta ma lunga, ci si muove in bicicletta oppure con il “baggy” (un pulmino elettrico che ti porta ovunque a qualsiasi ora e ti viene a prendere ovunque ti trovi). In fondo all’isola la spiaggia è bellissima e anche come punto mare ne vale la pena, i colori sono tipici delle Maldive anche se purtroppo a livello di fondale non è cosi ricco di fauna. Il lato “sunset” dell’isola (cioè dove tramonta il sole) è tutto sabbioso, mentre il lato opposto chiamato “sunrise” (dove il sole sorge) è impraticabile in quanto fatto solo di scogli e sassi. Il cibo è vario ed è ottimo, con diverse proposte di carne e pesce ma anche vegetariane. Il personale sempre gentile e super disponibile, per intenderci una sera a cena era finito il gelato e uno dei cuochi me l’ha fatto portare direttamente dalla cucina. I bungalow sono spaziosi, l’unica cosa che cambierei sono i materassi, noi li abbiamo trovati molto duri, e il condizionatore che non sempre funzionava bene. L’esperienza nel complesso è stata molto positiva, ci siamo rilassati e abbiamo fatto anche delle escursioni di snorkeling, siamo stati molto bene, ci hanno trattato sempre con i guanti.

I was unable to go to the property since since I tried to contact the property before my stay about a week in advance and did not receive any response until about 10hours before I was supposed to fly out. The response I received was an automated one that stated the hotel was closed . I only received this response after several attempts to contact the hotel. I have since then continued to try and contact the hotel with still no response. Expedia was also not helpful saying they could only offer me a refund if I got a hold of the hotel, even after I explained I haven’t been able t get a hold of the hotel for a week - week and a half and that the only response I did get was an automated one that stated they were close and that was the first time I was informed of that even though my flight was supposed to take off in less than 10 hours. Overall I am sure the property is nice ans it is good to know they value their employees and their customers safety but the lack of communication and ability to work with customers to reschedule or refund and notify them of the closure is absolutely horrible.

Rooms were very clean and facilities very nice in good condition. Customer service missing sometimes in the bars, pools or restaurants. For example, we asked them to restock pool towels 5 times in one day and it still never happened. Overall highly recommended!

Most spectacular service, perfect relaxing couples getaway. This is not a resort for people looking to have evening entertainment but if you're seeking relaxation & to enjoy each others company then this is certainly the place to find it. We were overwhelmed by the service & hospitality of every staff member...nothing is too much trouble & they go the extra mile every time...our best holiday experience 😊

Fantastisk personal: Hassan i baren , Asrr golfbilsförare, Haizemath i repan som hjälpte mig med att hämta ner stora jobbfiler till min laptop, Yaniz vår uppmärksamme servitör. Vår superstädare X. Villan ren men lite sliten. Bra varierad mat. Delfinutflykten toppen. Lugnt och skönt. Stranden helt för sig själv merparten av tiden. Havsbotten full med sjögräs på de flesta ställena. Ta med gummiskor för bad. Kanonbadet finns dock på sydspetsen vid Beach Bar. Fria transporter överallt. Inga strandförsäljare är toppen. Höga priser. All Inkl kostar 125 dollar per person och dygn. Dyr och låååång transfer från Male som inte nämns tydligt. Rekommenderas ändå trots det! Vi väljer ställe närmre Male nästa gång pga för lång transfer: Vänta på plan i Male 3h. Flyga litet plan 1,25h. Speedbåt 0,5h. Rätt trötta vid ankomst. Supersnabb incheck och all service trevlig och snabb annars.

Resort pessimo, sembra di stare ovunque tranne che alle maldive. Sporco. Mare? Non c’è mare. È solo una grossa palude dal cattivo odore e sporca. In camera (dopo aver cambiato 3 camere diverse per formiche camminanti sul letto e sotto le coperte) pulizia zero. Dopo aver spruzzato un po di spray antiformiche la camera è stata invasa da oktre 300/400 formiche. Un vero disastro. Personale che chiama in camera 10/15 volte al giorno anche in orari non consoni (8 del martino e 15 del pomeriggio). Che delusione

Excellent hotel with very kind and helpful staff

We were particularly impressed with the staff from the moment we landed at Gan airport. It was clear that they wanted to make our visit special and they succeeded! We were celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary while staying there and they arranged for us to dine outside under the stars and decorated our dinner table with extra fresh flowers. They also, very unexpectedly produced a specially made wedding anniversary cake at the end of dinner and when we returned to our room they had decorated it too with flowers and a palm leaf written wedding anniversary message on the bed! It was so thoughtful and very touching and it was clear that they delighted in seeing their guests happy and having a good experience. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The beaches was beautiful clean and the buggy drivers always helpful and willing to drive you wherever you wanted to go on the island. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice of meals. I would highly recommend this hotel.

bellissimo arrivare in barca verso il canareef maestoso, personale che ti da il benvenuto più caloroso che si possa desiderare,isolotto in paradiso cibo eccellente resort pulito reef sulla bellissima spiaggia noleggio biciclette molto bello fare il giro per l'isola verdissima con contrasto dei colori di questo splendido mare!!! personale gentilissimo disponibili cordiali educatissimi. vacanza strepitosa !!!!! grazie hotel canareef!!!!

Great place in Paradise

All was great, from the beginning to the end! Lovely and helpful staff , great food, beautiful, very clean bungalows just in the front of the amazing beaches. The island is perfect size, you can walk, ride a bicycle , or just call the buggy-car! Also you can visit by walk, a lovely small local village with very friendly people. Highly recommend!

Endroit sympa, paisible, calme, agréable. Peu de Français, langue que l'anglais. Personnel de chambre très bien villa avec jacuzzi très spacieuse et agréable, cependant manque séparation à l'extérieur entre chaque villa. Accès à la plage direct très bien, mais l'eau pas agréable beaucoup d'algues. Il faut aller à l'extrémité de l'ile pour avoir une belle plage avec l'eau transparente, c'est dommage. Nourriture pas assez variée, tout est à base de curie, pas de poisson frais, beaucoup de nourriture panée. Très peu de fruit et la glace très peu de choix, vanille, chocolat ou fraise. Il est conseillé de prendre un forfait inclusive car en pension complète, on vous fait payer la boisson à table y compris l'eau...Ce qui est dommage, très peu d'excursion proposée, aucune visite possible. La seule fois où nous avons voulu partir en bateau pour voir les dauphins, on nous a annulé la sortie car nous étions que 3 personnes...et nous avons pas été prévenu! Aucune animation, et les bars ferment à 23h... En ce qui concerne la boutique, très chère et peu d'article. Il est conseillé de prendre vos souvenirs au retour à l'aéroport. Encore une chose très importante, le voyage ne prend pas en charge le transfert de l'aéroport de Doha à l'aéroport de Gan Island y compris le bateau...Cela n'est pas précisé dans le forfait voyage. Nous en avons eu pour 800 dollar en plus de notre voyage...nous sommes à 480 kms de Doha à Canareef Resort. Du coup trajet beaucoup trop long. Notre retour à duré 43h

Mai più al Canareef

Non sembra neanche di essere alla Maldive. Il Resort è situato su un'isola l0nga (circa 4km e stretta circa 100 m.) da un lato l'atollo, mare torbido quasi impraticabile, spiaggia costituita da pietre sabbia residui di coralli ed alghe. Un lavoro continuo per rendere accogliente ciò che la natura ha destinato ad altro. Dall'altro lato dell'isola la barriera corallina verso l'oceano, e le bandiere rosse che segnalavano la impraticabilità. Ci si può consolare con le piscine, due funzionanti, una chiusa o l'idromassaggio che nella nostra situazione era previsto. Certo andare in piscina o idromassaggio alle Maldive è assurdo. Per intanto il viaggio da Male a Canareef si mangia sostanzialmente un giorno tra aereo, motoscafo oltre ai costi (380 dollari a persona) Il Ristorante era da un lato dell'isola per cui era necessario prendere il pulmino eletrico per colazione, pranzo e cena. Fortunatamente ero già stato alle Maldive in un'altro resort (Halaveli) deve il mare e le cose erano un'altra cosa. Certo chi viene alla maldive per la prima volta al Canareef corre il rischio di non tornarci più
