It was very easy to find the Nantucket B&B via google maps. We were very pleased about this nice welcome by Renee and Gawaine. The rooms were very nicely furnished as we had 2 rooms. The one was decorated in chinese style and the other one was the Ocean-View-room -we especially liked the second one. The breakfast-table (all guest were sitting together) was lovely and we had a very enjoyable breakfast (every day we got scrambled egg). While breakfast we had great conversation with Gawaine, who gave us very useful recommendations about what to do, where to dine and what so see in the surroundings. And also great ideas for our ongoing trip to Cape Town. So it was a very "personally" stay there, not like in a big hotel. If we ever come back, we'll stay there again for sure! Absolutely excellent guest house with an amazing host- Gwain- We had the Sea Shepherd room with a stunning view. There is so much space to spread out, a communal kitchen,and living area. Gwain even arranged a surprise birthday cake for my husband’s birthday. Gwain is very knowledgeable about the area and will suggest lots of ideas. Try to reserve at Creation for lunch.

This is a most charming residence, the room that we had was wonderful and it opened out onto the pool deck. It was quiet and restful. The owner Renee and her son Gawaine were such nice people. They gave us recommendations for restaurants and wineries and each one surpassed the previous one. They were so kind and helpful, far beyond what might be expected. The breakfast were excellent with so many choices of jams, marmalade’s and other confections. This is a really top notch B&B and we will be back.

We had a great time at Nantucket, things were slightly different, but for the good the host was charming, and very helpful, recommending places to visit and restaurants to eat.

Sehr gute Unterkunft für Hermanus

Vom Zimmer "ocen view" konnten wir am Morgen Wale sehen. Super bequemes Bett. Lage etwas ausserhalb aber mit dem Auto kein Problem. W-Lan hatte leider nicht funktioniert.

An excellent stay ! Room and bathroom were very comfortable and clean . Host was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Sent us to very good restaurants and gentle walking trails . Would definitely stay again !

Enjoyable

Enjoyable stay, lovely large room opening onto small patio and small pool area. Owners, Renee and her son Gavin, could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast room light and airy and breakfast good. Would certainly return. Location perfect, within walking distance to Grotto Beach and coastal path.

Hermanus at its Best

We had a fabulous time. The owners are wonderful hosts and extremely helpful in all regards. Because of them we saw and experienced things that we would not have known about. The breakfasts were excellent, spacious living spaces and excellent views. We look forward to returning!!

Lovely stay in Hermanus!

We spent 1 night here on our way to cape town, and were very happy with the room and the house. We had the ocean view room and saw a dozen or more Southern Right Whales from our room! It was really special. We were up and gone too early for breakfast, but enjoyed our stay.

Excellent Nantucket

A definite highlight of our African trip. The Nantucket ticked all the boxes. The room, the views, the warm hospitality of the owners excelled expectations. The stunning weather and sighting of whales were an added bonus.
