The room was clean and hotel staff was absolutely great! We had a reservation, but they had us on an upper floor room and we asked to be moved to a 1st floor room if available, the young lady working the desk had absolutely no problem checking and moving us. She did it without hesitation and attitude. We appreciated their kindness and accommodating attitude. Thank you
We we pleasantly surprised at this spot in Morganton! We were in town for my daughter's wedding. The owner was so nice and hospitable! The hotel was being updated but our room was spotless and the bed was awesome! Would recommend to any traveler!
I like that the rooms were big and they have a step in shower. We did see a few roaches though.

Liked: Cleanliness
Staff was friefly the rooms clean. I had to move into hotel beause I lost power prior to the Jan 24-25 snow and ice storm an I was relieved to have heat and lights. What I did not like is that a large contruction truck was backed up against my window and I had no view. The hotel barely had 40% occupancy and the manager would not allow me to switch a room to one with one thay was not blocked from its view.......other than that it was nice.
The hotel is in need of some repairs, a paint job, a lock for the outside entrance door. The room itself was clean, the beds, advertised as queen beds are full beds, although they were clean and comfortable.
We did not arrive the evening we were supposed to and they had rented the room out, because they were at max capacity and they should have credited us, but didn’t. Also the door cards don’t work if you have your cell phone on your person. Could have been better, and was very close to poor.

Liked: Staff & service
Meh, it was just below avetage. Ok for one night. Staff was nice.
Let's preface this with, it's a three-star for a two-star hotel. The important stuff, the sheets and towels were clean, the tub looked clean. Everything looked clean. The not so important depending on who you are, there was an old RV that looks like had been parked there years with a red pickup truck next to it with a generator running all night next to our room. Wow! You couldn't hear the generator easily when you're awake and listening to the TV, etc, but when you turn everything off and try to go to sleep, you can clearly hear it running. The key cards stopped working two different times for our room and had to get them redone because we were locked out. While locked out and trying to get the key cards to work again, it looked like it was a homeless person's party in the hallway. One person walked past wreaking of marijuana. The staff was friendly and helpful though.
Overall a very nice stay... the rooms were clean and all of the hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.
The overall stay was good. It was quit and peaceful.
the building was obviously not new, but it was kept up well.
The sliding door to the bathroom didn't have an operating lock, but that isn't a huge issue.
My biggest concern was the mattress seemed to be pretty old because the middle sagged badly. Not a deal breaker just a little tough on my 65 year old back.
I would stay here again if I were in Morganton again.
Really lovely spot. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The new owner is doing a great job with the renovations and upgrades! Morganton is an adorable and welcoming little town.
