Was ideal as an overnight stay after visiting the theatre. Room was comfy and clean but found it quite noisy through the night with heavy steps and talking. Easy parking and check in. Didn't stay for breakfast as had read previous reviews so went to nearby spoons instead. Would definitely stay again if the need arose.

Exceptionally clean, rooms perfect for short stay and for the money great value. It's an old building so you will get noise from other guests but nothing untoward. On site carpark, good coffee in the morning and a bacon roll included. What's not to like?

The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck!

It is perfect for the price! Amazing hot shower, brilliant white bedsheets and comfortable bed. When you are tired after work the rest is a history. Large car park.

Stayed there 2 years ago, breakfast was excellent. This visit ended with a breakfast consisting of bread rolls and bacon ! What happened to the egg,sausages, black pudding and mushrooms etc, also no cereal. Will never stay there again !!

Its our 3rd stay here and will be going back again later this year. Weve been staying here whilst visiting family and wouldn't stay anywhere else now. Breakfast is absolutely yummy, our 7 year old says it's thr best shes had! Staff are friendly aswell.

Comfortable, clean and Warm a nice B&B

Perfect location, gentle walk into town, lots of restaurants to eat at within minutes. Room big enough and certainly warm, clean and presentable. The shower was amazingly powerful, and hot water didn't take an age to come through. Nice car park round the back, with on street if that was full. For what we required is fitted the bill exactly.
