"I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro (ホテルメトロポリタン) and would absolutely return.
The location is fantastic — tucked slightly away from the busiest streets of Ikebukuro, yet incredibly convenient. It feels safe and secure, especially being right next to a police station, and just a short walk to the subway. There are multiple convenience stores right around the corner, including 7‑Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart, which made grabbing snacks or essentials effortless. Despite being so centrally located, the hotel itself was peaceful and quiet — something I truly appreciated after long days out exploring.
My room on the 7th floor was recently renovated, clean, and very cozy. I loved the thoughtful touches, such as complimentary bottled water in the fridge and a humidifier in the room — small details that made a big difference in comfort.
What truly made this stay exceptional, however, was the staff. They deserve a 10/10 rating. Every team member I encountered was incredibly thoughtful, courteous, and genuinely warm. They assisted with my luggage, greeted me kindly each time, and always seemed one step ahead in anticipating guests’ needs. Their hospitality elevated the entire experience.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tokyo and will definitely be returning on my next trip."
