"A nice hidden spot near the railway station with fleeting views of the beach, friendly staff and access to the gym next door. It’s a reasonable walk to Turtle Bay, but the main restaurants/bars are approximately 15 min walk away. BUT, a Tuktuk is like £1 (GBP) so very reasonable. A great stay overall."

"Heel schoon en comfortabel verblijf. Hele goede wifi, en Airconditioning 2 schone zwembaden mooi aangelegde tuin. Op korte loopafstand van de hoofdweg met veel restaurants. Ontbijt beschikbaar en op zich goed.. maar traag gereserveerd en verkeerde volgorde. Eerst Fruit dan na 10 minuten het Ei, dan na 10 minuten de toast en de koffie en fruitsap pas na 40 minuten... Maar zou er zo weer terug keren... prima."

"This was our 2nd stay at the Asian Jewel. Our return was based on our previous experience which was lovely staff, good food, clean and spacious room. The location is out of town but was easy/cheap to get tuk tuks and being situated next to the lagoon allowed us to see lots of beautiful birds from our balcony. Would recommend and hope to return again."

"Friendly staff. Off road parking and great beach access to see turtles 🐢 "

"Property has very spacious rooms and well maintained. Lovely Beach location although waves rough at this time. Food overall quality, very tasty and well presented. Staff very personable ,attentive and seeking to offer service especially Assistant Manager Siri, Dilen and Nilanga."

"Mötte alla mina förväntningar! Bra, rymligt och rent rum med fin utsikt och skön säng. Äggstation på frukosten och bra mängd med solbäddar. Bra läge på hotellet! "

"Väldigt slitet hotell, trevlig personal och ren pool"

"They didnt have the aircondition room orded. Got a dark room with only one light, and the train tracks 10m away. Nice and helpful people,"

"For us 33 Lake Terrace was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our time in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautifully designed, the location at the lake is so peaceful and beautiful - simply amazing. On top of this Mr Panduka and the entire staff were exceptional, very discreet but always available and just very nice. The breakfast was very good but the dinner was just amazing, both the food and the atmosphere. While the location is a bit remote (15-20min walk into town) we enjoyed the uniqueness of...

"The owner/host and housekeeping staff were very friendly and nice to talk to. They can arrange tuk tuk for the guests and home style food was so delicous. Due to its location, guests will need to have insects repellent spray applied at all time. Overall very nice stay at villa birdlake. "

"We had an amazing stay at hotel Dormero. The hotels right in front of the beach which made it very convenient for us to go around swimming and other beach activities which were nearby. The room itself was kept spotless with daily housekeeping. The staff were very nice and polite. We even had the opportunity to celebrate new years with the staff and eat amazing food. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would recommend. "

"Ingen i receptionen vid ankomst. Väntade 30min sedan hittade jag ett annat hotell. Trist poolområde. Inga solstolar framme"

"Sijainti järven rannalla, hyttysiä paljon, sijainti syrjäinen, vesi oli matalalla joten räme haisi."
