Top Hill Country Hotel Reviews
Hyatt House Austin/Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"I like the concept of the Hyatt house. If you need, you have a little kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, and everything else you need that will tie you over for a few days. The hotel had some air-conditioning problems in the lobby while I was there. But they were quick to come up with temporary solutions. The location is convenient enough to reach downtown restaurants and bars. It is very close to the state capital, you can easily walk from the hotel to the capital."
Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown
10/10 Excellent
"The property was absolutely stunning, the view was amazing, the staff was incredible along with the valet, they would welcome you and open and close my door for me to get in to drive. The pool was perfect. The stay overall was just incredible."
Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed at Lost Pines for my baby moon and had a relaxing stay. The entire property felt like you were being transported away to a secluded retreat. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the lazy river (recommend going early in the morning before 10am and after 6pm for a quieter and cooler experience) and the evening smores. They even had a family movie playing on the lawn every night. I also enjoyed how close we were to Austin proper. It was only a 30-40min drive into downtown. So we had the opportunity to enjoy some local restaurants. The one criticism I have was the paved walking trail. There was a recent rainstorm in the hill country which brought through a lot of mud. There were some parts of the path that were still completely caked in dirt with uneven walking surfaces. The areas were completely dried at this point but had not been cleared. There were also several areas where the grass and bushes had not been trimmed back, making it hard to navigate through the walkways. One area had an overhanging tree that had been knocked over. Overall enjoyed my experience and am marking Lost Pines as a resort to visit again."
Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin East Side 5th Street
10/10 Excellent
"It's worth paying $35/night for the parking garage. Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was better than average, and location was great for East Side activities. [;enty of bars and restaurants around as well as many good door dash options"
