Great place! Decent breakfast! Room has air conditioning and a fan !!!! So good compared to other hotels in that aspect haha ! Area is about 30 mins from Saigon center mall

I travel fairly frequently for both business and pleasure - so have stayed at the higher-end (Marriott, Hilton) to the lower-end (La Quinta, Holiday Inn, etc.) places. I picked this particular cheap/affordable hotel because of unexpected one-night trip to HCMC - and just wanted to be near to the airport. For the price, the Solex is a great value (clean & fairly good sized room). It is located in an area with tons of (local) food venues. Just a couple minor things: the backside of the hotel faces two schools - so they can be noisy in the early morning. The breakfast was very simple during my stay - just a like 5 items - while I was happy with them - foreigners may not have enough options to be satisfied. But then again - I was only paying like $40USD for the night. Overall, I am happy and recommend the Solex for budget travelers or those who just need a quick short stay to get to the airport.

Lovely hotel, we stayed for 2 nights, very clean, staff were very accommodating. The rooms are spacious and have ac and a fan, very clean, large shower and comfortable bed. We will stay here again when we visit HCMC. Very reasonable price also good breakfast. Good area and in a quiet street.

Nice big room and very clean. And the bathroom was very good also. Plenty of room for comfort and relaxation. I did not try the breakfast so I cannot say anything about that.

Very clean and modern. Front desk personnel were just okay. Vietnamese are always very, very friendly. Front desk personnel seemed disinterested. Breakfast was just average for Buffett. Other than those things a great price with excellent wifi.

Overall, it is very good hotel with very affordable price. That's why someone says 3.5-star hotel with 3-star price. I strongly recommend it. The followings were good in detail. Cleanliness of room/hotel - pretty new building Quality of service - they are so kind. Hotel amenities Good free breakfast buffet However, Wifi is not good. slow.

New and clean hotel. Good wifi internet speed. However, the shower hot water flow is not consistent. It can be hot once and cold next. Breakfast is basic for this price but you rather eat out nearby.
