Staff weren’t super cheery when we arrived, then when we got to our floor, the smell of stale smoke was unbearable! What made it worse, was when you turned on the bathroom light, the extractor fan also came on and sucked the smoke smell into our room, so showering in the dark was the only option. The cherry on the cake, was we didn’t realise that the hotel is sandwiched between “private dancing clubs” with a row of more clubs across the street which was super noisey until 2/3am, that’s on us for not checking the area. But at around 5am - 6am, clearly the room next to ours was used as some kind of base for the girls, as you could hear people coming and going for an hour, slamming doors and collecting their belongings. This happened both nights we were there at the same time, so definitely some kind of cloak room for the employees of the clubs. Don’t cheap out like we did and find somewhere else!
