"The location is great, close walking distance to shopping , restaurants and train station is right next to hotel. Train is noisy at night. The breakfast buffet was poor quality, toast bread cut in half, a banana was cut into 4 pieces for example. The room was clean but very small."

"The hotel garden is beautiful; it was a very pleasant start to our overall experience in Japan. Walking in the morning through this garden is a great way to start the day, as it was very quiet with few people. Hotel look more like an "old" luxury resort, Victorian / regal style decoration (you can tell it has been here a while) but remains in good condition. Room (and bathroom) were far more spacious than the other hotels we stayed in Japan. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had in Japan. The Pancakes were phenomenal."

"Loved this stay minus the incredibly small rooms (which I knew I’d get for the price). Very accommodating staff and spoke great English. The amenities were great and it was a prime location! The traditional Japanese onsen was my favourite part. Beautiful space and well maintained. Very happy with our stay!"
