"Took too long to check in on Friday night, there should have been more than one person checking in guests on a busy weekend. Staff was lacking throughout our stay. I did not see one housekeeper the entire weekend. Our room was adequate, but there was black mold around the shower, products on the wall were half empty, a dog toy under the bed (which indicates a lack of attention to vacuuming), and most of the USB outlets did not work. "We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the Virginia Guesthouse. The hotel had opened up just the month before, and the property was very-well appointed, and immaculate. It felt like a room night should have cost at least a couple times more than I did. Added bonus, our breakfast at their restaurant was amazing."

"Our stay was perfect. Hotels.com really messed up the booking and I almost didn’t have a place to stay. The host at this property held the room for me and we handled everything directly. He was great, the room was spectacular!"

"The hotel was closed upon arrival and no one ever arrived. The windows were broken and there was an odor of cat urine and a dozen feral cats. We left since the hotel was closed and sought other accommodations. I will demand a full refund from Expedia and my credit card company. Filthy!"

"Great stay! Each and every staff member should get a raise for being very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet along with the tea and sweets each afternoon. The only quirky bit for us was the ac/heat unit."
