"Reserved a room with an ocean view/balcony, upon arrival to our room, we immediately went to see that ocean view just to be disappointed with a view of the building next door and all the hvac units. It was one of those, if you hang off the balcony like Spiderman you'd be able to see the ocean, ocean view. The check in staff laughed and thought this was funny but she didn't offer an upgraded room even at an additional charge, just an 'it is what it is' attitude. We were bummed since we were coming from Michigan and it was a really s
crappy view but figured we weren't going to be in the room the whole time anyway. We went to Solara and found that one part was an exclusive paid area only after finding a seat and hanging out for a bit. When were were told to leave basically, we were grabbing our things and my husband stepped on a loose tile, which in turn ended up breaking his toe because the tile popped up and he kicked it with his other foot. We did report it to security, who inspected it and found there were multiple loose tiles. They were kind enough to offer us a free drink or breakfast. The resort itself was pretty awesome and exactly what a resort in the movies looks like. I would give the resort another go, even with the disappointments."
