"Amazing view"

"The property was beautiful and our room had a great view. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was great. One note, when traveling to and from Interlaken, the busses take a 2-3 hour rest around dinner time so make sure to plan your afternoon accordingly."

The room was relatively clean, but there was a lot of dust and dead insects visible on the part of the wood bed frame near our heads. The fridge wouldn’t stay closed and the hair dryer didn’t work. Our bathroom sink soap dispenser was empty and it did not get refilled for the 4 nights we stayed, even though I requested a refill on day 2. "Going in we knew it was a historic building but the room was dark and minimal compared to other similar facilities we have stayed at. No one was at the desk to check us in, we had to call on phone at desk to pay for parking before getting code to lock box for key to room. There was no mention of a code to get back in the building in the evening. Breakfast was the standard continental breakfast. Beautiful area with an old church and covered bridge."
