"The hotel room itself was very nice. 8th Floor- Non-smoking. The bathroom was spacious and it was very clean along with the bed/living area. However, the hallways and elevators smelled like cigarettes & liquor. Now, the casino was basically an overheated SMOKE cloud. Completely our fault for not educating ourself on Indiana laws which allows smoking in the casinos but it was awful. The amount of times I almost threw up from the disgusting smell of every cigarette/ blunt known to man. The...

"The entire hotel reeked of pot both days, morning to night. Bathroom plug and attached hair dryer did not work. Bathroom sink leaked into cabinet below- the only place to sit any of your bathroom items. No closet- just hanging bar with no shelving or hangers. No drawers or suitcase stand- nowhere to put your belongings. No decaf coffee at reception. The place is run down overall. "

I saw several rooms on the property that appeared to have been half-way in construction attached to properties that appeared to have been abandoned. The room gives you cups and an ice container but there are no ice-machines on the property. Rooms were just okay, nothing impressive. Lighting could be better. "Fantastic location near our daughter, who lives in Hyde Park. Warm, welcoming staff who accommodated an early check in for very weary travelers. Room was nice, bed comfy. Only reason for 4 stars was that the restaurant affiliated with the hotel was closed on Sunday evenings. We had a nice meal in the bar by the fireplace but the table was bar-size and didn’t have enough room for our dinner plates and appetizers. Would definitely return to the sophy for all the other pluses it offers. "
