"Great service and accommodation "

"Hotel is central, easy to get to places. Room is nice and spacious. We can hear the rumble of the metro from our room on the 5th floor. A bit weird, but we got used to it. Coffee facility in the room is bad... No capsules, just instant nescafe sachets.. In our room, we found only one cafeinated sachet, and one more decaf. If you think you can enjoy the pool facilities, forget it. The pool is small, and have no special times for kids or adults, so with just one or two children in there, the place turned into a water park. Breakfast is ok, a lot of the hot food is cold. Coffee is terrible. Filter coffee tastes horrible, and the alternative is from an automated machine."

"My stay at Meliá Madrid was mixed. I stayed for two nights, and while there were some positives, there were also a few disappointments. The room itself was spacious, which I appreciated. However, the main issue was the view—it faced a construction site. This was not mentioned on the website, and it significantly impacted the experience. I ended up keeping the curtains closed most of the time, especially at night, since there wasn’t really a pleasant view to enjoy. Another downside was the spa and amenities. One of the reasons for booking was to relax and use the facilities, but that didn’t work out. The spa closes quite early, so after a full day out in Madrid, I wasn’t able to use the jacuzzi or pool. Additionally, reservations are required, which made it even less convenient. I tried going the next morning around 11 a.m., and it still wasn’t open, which was frustrating. Overall, while the room size was a plus, the lack of transparency about the construction and limited access to amenities made the stay less enjoyable than expected."

"The big plus of this hotel is it's proximity to Charmatin. The staff were also really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but the building and hardware was showing it's age. Regardless, it was still a great hotel to stay at in between a flight and a train."

"Mi experiencia en el Hotel RIU Plaza España fue excelente de principio a fin. La ubicación es simplemente inmejorable, en plena Gran Vía, lo que permite moverse caminando a los principales puntos turísticos de Madrid, así como disfrutar de restaurantes, tiendas y vida nocturna a pocos pasos. Las instalaciones del hotel son modernas, elegantes y muy bien cuidadas. La habitación fue cómoda, limpia y con una vista espectacular de la ciudad, lo que hizo la estancia aún más especial. La cama muy confortable y el baño amplio, con todos los detalles necesarios. Uno de los mayores atractivos del hotel es su famosa terraza en la azotea, que ofrece vistas panorámicas impresionantes de Madrid. Sin duda, es un lugar perfecto para relajarse, tomar algo y disfrutar del atardecer. El servicio del personal fue otro punto destacado: atentos, profesionales y siempre dispuestos a ayudar en todo momento. El check-in y check-out fueron rápidos y eficientes. El desayuno buffet es muy completo, con gran variedad de opciones tanto dulces como saladas, ideal para comenzar el día con energía. En general, es un hotel que combina ubicación, confort y excelente servicio. Sin duda, lo recomendaría y volvería a hospedarme en mi próxima visita a Madrid."

"They had a planned water shut off due to maintenance issues. They did not contact us in advance or give us a chance to get a refund. The water was shut off for over 8 hours making the bathrooms completely unusable. Even after the water came on the shared bathrooms were absolutely disgusting because people had used the toilets. The staff were rude and completely unapologetic when we tried to ask when the water would come back on."
