Enjoyed staying in a chateau in town. Charles the owner was very welcoming and gave us a tour around his home. If you want to stay in a modern hotel with all the amenities this is probably not the place for you. But if you want charecter and personal service you will not regret it. Breakfast in front of the log fire surrounded by artwork overlooking the park from your 18th century drawing room was an experience we will always remember.

A lovely place to stay. We were on a trip to Bergerac and this was a one night stop so we didn't reallyhave a chance to experience the pool/spa, but the outside sitting areas were nice and being able to get wine and beer was really nice after a long drive. The hosts are every attentive, and although we can't speak french very well and their english was limited Google translate saved the day, especially at meal time when we sat with Celine and her family

Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals.
