"The buffet breakfast was tasty food and clean environment. Interior decoration had some great character. I felt like I was in Mexico. It was a great experience. Very unusual in a positive way. Highly recommend."

"The toilet is too low for older folks and people with bad knees, etc. We were told it was $11 to park when we got to the hotel (which I did not see when I booked the room), but was not told it was per night. That is extremely disappointing. Especially since there were not many parking spaces close to the entrance. I found out when I checked my bank account. That amount was not put on my receipt. I will look elsewhere to stay on a return trip."

"We loved the pool and pool bar. We also visited the upstairs Lounge for live music. We used the bus from just outside to get into Charleston it’s $2 a ride The rooms were much better than we expected and there was loads of parking"

"First of all the staff at this location are top notch! Everyone from the front desk to the maintenance to the breakfast staff. Bravo! The rooms are cozy, cool and relaxing. The amenities are well maintained and there are plenty of them if you want to use the. The sitting areas are comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast is very good and the staff is on it to keep it clean and things refilled. Overall for an older building this is an excellent choice when in Charleston. Its well located...

"The hotel was very nice and there was enough parking as well. Only down side was the elevator was down our entire stay. Had I known this before check in I probably would have found a different hotel. But other than that everything was nice. "

"Rooms were very clean and nice. The staff (most of the ones we encountered) seemed pained to be there. They were not very friendly and it showed as if they hated the thought of being there. No breakfast is offered, though there are some small things you can buy. I felt as though I was being watched as I looked for something to purchase and then only later learned the front desk person was watching me on camera. For the price- I think it’s a bit overpriced for what you get."

"Staff was terrible and rude! Front desk lady was very rude to the customer ahead of me and was annoyed when I asked her to add my choice number!! Unacceptable. In the morning on fathers day food ran out before 9:30. No coffee. She was snapping at customers and asking for tips! Ridiculous"
