"Unfortunately, the room we were given had bedbugs which we discovered at midnight. With no overnight front desk staff on premises, we were stuck in the room and spent a sleepless night trying to mitigate our exposure and to avoid becoming vectors for the insects for our other destinations (Berlin was the first stop on a multi-city vacation). We did write an email to the manager and sent pictures, plus we did notify staff the following morning. Manager’s response was empathetic and offered recommendations on how to clean clothes and belongings. The experience of this type was a first for us and was an unsettling start to our journey. Fellow travelers, we hope you can avoid similar circumstances on your trips."
