"Check in was easy and staff was kind. Place has fresh paint but most everything else was quite old. Suppose that since it’s CA beach area it’s quite expensive to replace. If you have to stay in area you could do it. Bed and room were clean. Breakfast was normal institutional fare but well presented. Parking was convenient under hotel. I don’t want to say don’t stay there because they appear to be trying but it’s a bit sketchy."

"Honestly, we were disappointed with our 2-night stays. Not only 1 room, but 2 rooms. The rooms are dated, and both bathrooms were broken. Overall, it's even worse than the $150 Motel 8. The toilet was kid-sized. The water level in the toilet bowl was very high. The toilet water touched my butt. The showerhead and handheld switch were broken, and the bathtub was clogged. The USB connectors on the desk lamp bases in both rooms were loose and unusable. Bugs’ dead body hangs on the ceiling....
