"A lovely inn situated in a peaceful village but very handy for visiting the attractions within York and the North Yorkshire National park.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We can recommend the food and drinks on offer in the air conditioned restaurant, both on the evening we stayed and for breakfast the following day. Top marks."

"Very comfortable beds. Good standard budget hotel..
Little traffic noise with window closed. Decent breakfast.Dog Friendly.
Tip for dog owners...behind the hotel there is a grassed area. In the corner you'll find a path through the bushes. It leads to open countryside where you can give your dog a decent walk off the lead."

"Pleasant Staff, simple book in.
Let down by tiny tv & silly early book out time of 10.30am. Charged an extra £25 to book out at 12 having already paid £493 for 3 nights.
Breakfast let down by poor ingredients - cheap tasteless sausage."
