"The staff member at the front desk was very kind on the day we checked in, as well as the day we checked out. There’s no breakfast served during the winter but there is coffee/tea and some biscuits and spreads laid out for travellers which was very nice! We were also able to see the northern lights from the hot tub out back! An amazing bonus! "

Upon arrival, we were informed that the photos on Expedia were “incorrect” and that only one room in the entire property actually had a tub — and it was already occupied. This was not a minor detail. "The staff in this hotel make it a real gem. Every person I interacted with was a delight, friendly and knowledgeable from the bar and wait staff through to the reception and housekeeping staff. The hotel is well located in Reykjavik and all the main attractions are walkable - even in heavy snow and ice. The rooms are clean, large and well laid out with great quality showers. I cannot rate this hotel and the staff more highly, they were even able to secure a taxi for us during heavy snow and ice...
