"Staff were unhelpful, housekeeping looked to have rushed room including missing essentials like toilet paper. They were still cleaning rooms next to us after arriving at 8pm. It was a good job we’d been travelling for over 14 hours so just showered and passed out asleep. Would not stay here again and pay the amount we did, it wasn’t worth it."

"I chose Ibis Budget for its proximity to the airport and affordable pricing. What I didn't expect was the level of service — a stark contrast to my previous experience at the same hotel. I arrived on 13/05/2026 nearly three hours before check-in, bracing for indifferent staff. Instead, I was met by two remarkably warm and empathetic front desk attendants — I wish I had caught their names, because they truly deserve recognition. Their welcome felt completely sincere, the kind you cannot teach....

"This was the least expensive hotel i could find in Wollongong so it was pretty good for the money. Good shared bathroom. Great shower. Needs soap in the bathrooms. Bedroom small tidy but very smelly. I cleaned the remote control with a towel and it was very dirty. Water pipes very noisy. A lamp and a box of tissues would be good in the room. Staff were very nice. I went to get some milk and the young woman at the bar was straight onto it. "
