"EXCEPTIONAL stay at the Fairfield Orillia!! This hotel is SPOTLESS - I am a germaphobe - I felt TOTALLY safe here!! I said to Matthew at the checkout desk that there is not one thing they could possibly improve on!!
Super lovely staff - shouts out to Matthew and to the lady who checked us in - both were sooooo friendly and made me feel that they valued our business. And to both Melody and Crystal in the Breakfast Room - both super sweet - they work sooooo hard - excellent food choices - spotlessly clean - these two women really start your day with a smile!! Housekeeping is excellent - every single detail in our room was perfection!!
We really really appreciated everyone’s obvious efforts - made our stay just sooooo lovely!! This hotel is squeaky clean from lobby to pool to elevators to breakfast room to guest rooms - clear that this Fairfield Inn works as one big EXTREMELY WELL-FUNCTIONING TEAM - and we the guests are the beneficiaries!! Bravo Team Fairfield!! Stop INN for the WIN!! 🏅"
"Room was spotlessly clean. Bedding smelled fresh, not likre bleach. Check in was quick. Front desk phoned us to see if everything was ok and did we need anything (we've never had this done before) - this was a very nice touch. Breakfast was fine."
"Staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was typical sausage eggs a few bread and cereal choices. Yogurt and juice. And waffle maker not a huge spread but for the price it’s perfect. The hotel gym is closed permanently and dryer was not working. The hotel is worn out and tired looking but it was ‘clean enough’ I wasn’t expecting much for the price. The bed was a little firm but fine. The bathroom was a little luster with caulking loose around the sink and rust in the bottom of tub but again this was all cosmetic “tired” stuff it was fine with me it fit our budget. I will say the location is perfect easy to walk to many restaurants and a grocery store. Also it was very quite when I was there no issues at night that’s a real plus. I didn’t use the pool so I can’t speak about that. The elevator is slow so I took the stairs most of the time because I was on the second floor. If I was in the area I would definitely stay again but just have your expectations straight when you stay here it’s a budget friendly and great location with nice staff."
The Champlain Waterfront Hotel, an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Great location. Walk to the waterfront park, harbour and downtown Orillia. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
I had a small room in the basement. Everything was updated and clean, including the bathroom. The room down there is small, but that was reflected in the great price I received. I was on my own so it worked for me. There are larger rooms in the hotel.
Staff were very friendly.
Parking right at the hotel is a bit tight but they have an overflow lot. Check inside if you can't get a spot.
Breakfast was fine and included omlettes and sausages when I was there.
I would recommended this hotel. A great place to stay if you would like to explore downtown Orillia."
