Room: wall paper peeling and swelling of the wood (bottom of door and trim) in the bathroom. The bathroom sink stunk (musty/mouldy) when water ran. The hair blower was not functioning properly (high speed level sounded like something was grinding and it smelled like something was burning). The room was located across from the stairwell, so it felt noisy. The room above was noisy for Saturday afternoon and evening. Otherwise, our room, bed and linens were clean and comfortable.
Parking: there was next to no parking. Perhaps a better snow removal plan should’ve been in place? Or the large commercial vehicles shouldn’t be allowed to park where they were. Designated parking spaces for rooms would be nice! The lot felt very chaotic.
Staff: all staff we encountered were friendly, informative, and professional.
Breakfast: Saturday morning food seemed a little scarce considering we visited in the middle of this service (9am). I politely asked the guests behind me if they had eaten yet to ensure we all got some hot food. And I didn’t notice a restock while we sat and ate. Also, the “hot food” wasn’t very hot. The potatoes were still hard and cold in the middle. Sunday breakfast we visited a little earlier (8:45) and still found the selection was scarce; however I did notice a restock happening as we cleared our table and prepare for checkout as we had an appointment to get to.
We’ve stayed here a few times and it’s always been a nice visit, but was left unsatisfied this time.
