"We chose this place for the location. But there were a lot more to it than just the great location. The amenities were awesome: got a bag of clean PJs and a set of towels every day delivered by the door and the selections of tea were great. The best part was the water pressure of the shower! Although the room was really tiny, just enough for 2 retired adults who used the room just for sleeping and resting."

"We enjoyed our stay here, it's a very small room but it has lots of amenities, including a shower and bath, toilet, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, sink, and two gas hobs. Check-in was very easy. The area is really cute and quiet, and very well located for travelling in to the city centre or to Shinjuku station. The shower is very small so if you're taller than 6ft you may need to kneel in the bath. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay."

"Mustard Hotel Shimokitazawa was a fantastic home base for our first few nights in Tokyo. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is great for those looking to be away from the crowds — Shimokitazawa is a great neighborhood that can at time be busy during the day but gets quiet in the evenings and overnight. The only thing to be aware of is that the rooms are on the small side, but in terms of value they are spot on. The complimentary breakfast at the cafe...

"Accessibility this area is along the Express train line, 30mins from Shinjuku, hotel amenities are great, surrounding plenty of food and shopping. Recommended!"

"今回東京滞在2件目のホテルで、着いたらすぐ洗濯をしたかったのですが、疲れ果てて辿り着いてから、洗濯洗剤を買うの忘れた！と慌てたのですが、洗濯機の上に一つ洗剤を置いてくださっているのを見て細やかなお気遣いを感じました。オーナーさんはメールの返信も早く丁寧でとても安心しました。普段のホテルより広々としていてくつろげました。全身が映る鏡が一つあると嬉しいなーと思いました！"

"The hotel is not in walking distance to anything. There were trains and subways within a 5 minute walk but you need to take mass transit options or a taxi to anything in Shibuya, Shinjuku or any where in Tokyo. There are restaurants nearby that you can walk to. The hotel itself is dated and the common areas were musty smelling and the carpets were badly stained. The room however very clean. The staff did a nice job in their efforts to make us happy and comfortable"
