Service at dinner was extremely slow to the point where we had to flag down a different staff member every time we needed something basic like getting water, ordering dessert, or even paying our bill. The restaurant also had the most uncomfortable restaurant chairs ever. Definitely not what we were hoping for after a long hard day of hiking up and down Conic Hill. It literally hurt more to sit than stand"

The hotel has places to relax just off the reception area, lots of comfee seats Pleasant walk across the road along the bank of the Loch although this is probably busy during the summer season"

"Lovely staff, but the hotel could be so much better by upgrading the rooms and increasing availability of food on offer. The gardens could also be beautiful if maintained properly. Regular bus service to and from Helensburgh which has lots of restaurants to choose from, but would be nice to be able to eat in the hotel if have been out all day."

"It was terrible the reception was very abusive and right from the moment we checked in and the rooms were disgusting and for all of that they had the cheek to charge £110 per night. Never again if it wasn’t for every other hotel fully booked for bank holiday I would have walked straight back out. "

"The friendliness of the staff is top-notch and everywhere is so clean. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was a lack of vegan awareness. Although my meal on the first night was tasty it didn't include any protein. There were no vegan wines available but they kindly let me bring some vegan wine I had in the car in to have with my meal. They certainly made up for this by providing avocado, oat milk and a vegan yoghurt for breakfast - this effort was really appreciated. Thank...
