We really enjoyed our stay this weekend at The Royal Highland. Rooms are comfy, clean & well equipped. Staff are polite & helpful. We’d stay here again.
This is my third time staying at this hotel and I always go back if I can. The location is fantastic, a 30 second walk to the train station and a few minutes from bars, restaurants, shops and the bus station. The hotel is always clean, the staff always friendly and the selection at the continental breakfast is second to none. The decor is a little outdated and worn out, nothing that a freshen up wouldn't fix, but regardless, it is a solid hotel and I will definitely continue to stay here during my visits to Inverness.
Clean rooms, didn’t have breakfast or dinner so can’t comment.
Didn’t find the staff there very friendly.
Great location.

Price of breakfast was very expensive and it was not that good. I woulkd not have booked if expedia had made it more clear that it was without breakfast.
Bathroom was wonderful - lovely hot water
Convenient for train travel. A beautiful Old hotel with an amazing modern art collection. The contrast is awesome! The staff are very helpful and friendly. We didn't try the lounge or restaurant but it looked really nice
My second stay here and it was just as great as the last. We arrived 10:00 at night, last to check in after an almost 16 hour travel day. An elevator was a bonus since many older buildings don’t have one. Breakfast is also convenient and many places nearby to eat. Marks and Spencer is around corner, as well as Morrisons. There are two laundromats within walking distance, which is helpful. Best of all? The train station is right next door. Easy come, easy go. You really can’t go wrong with this hotel.
Such wonderful staff and an amazing atmosphere.made us feel completely welcome will definitely be back one day

Decent hotel, could do with a refurb but clean and comfortable
This was the cutest hotel with so much character. The parking was rough as they only have a few spots but the car park was close by. The room and hotel were always clean and the staff was very friendly.
This is an old hotel right next to the train station. It was very convenient for me to stay the night before my trip to Glasgow. I booked a cozy single room for the night. The room is very tiny. The bed is very tiny. But that’s what I booked. So it shouldn’t have been a surprise. The Bathroom was surprisingly large given how tiny everything else was. The towels were nice water was a bit lukewarm. There was a heated towel rack which was nice. The shower is also very tiny. The bed was comfortable even though it was very tiny and I managed to sleep a few hours. I was really pleased that the window opened. It was perfect for a while so before continuing my trip of Scotland. I was able to leave my luggage while I wandered it round Inverness again. So really this is about convenience. Under the same circumstances I would stay again but perhaps book a room with a bigger bed.
I loved the hotel style. Charm of days gone by. Loved the main staircase to the rooms. My room was small but well set out. Single room still had separate bathroom toilet. Nicely furnished. The reception area and lounge was very welcoming. Close to train station.

After reading mixed reviews about the hotel was unsure what to expect, The staircase and sitting area was stunning. Our room was on the first floor, spotlessly clean, electric heater which we could control. No complaints about the room. Great location, thoroughly recommend.
