If you’re interested in retrofitting and architecture and willing to rough it a bit this is a good place for the price. Pool had a lakey feel with trees all around. Neighborhood was cute but so loud due to leaf blowing at 8am and street racing on nearby streets at night. There is no glass in the windows so my husband could talk to me through the wall from outside at the pool. Literally talking through the wall because no sound proofing whatsoever. AC was decent though. Some lovely details in our place like hot water knobs shaped like moon cakes only there was no hot water only room temp. Floor boards needed fixing not just a plaster and paint patch up. Bed side tables have lights within them but sometimes did not work. Overall lighting was too dim and because no glass you could not open main window. What else, bed platform too big and placed so close to bathroom you could easily bruise your shins late at night: not good for anyone with mobility issues as bed so low hard to get in and out of. Stairs treacherous. Only one gate of the complex is open at night. We were not informed of this and had to jump one of the gates. Front desk seems to be manned by a ghost. Staff rarely there. We were unsure of how we would get our deposit back since they were often not at the desk and reached the on what’s app. The place is so interesting and makes for an adventure but if they fixed those details and hired a customer service consultant, they could really take it to the next level.

The front desk is a little hard to find. Hidden in an alley. But once you find it all is very good. The room is clean and has a window that opens facing a walkway with plants, very nice.

에어컨은 더운 바람이 나오고 벌레도ㅈ보였으며 보증금 50링컷을 주었는데 체크 아웃시에는 세금을 공제한다면서 40링것만 돌려주고 화장실은 아래층 공용화장실을 사용해야하는등 불편함과 더러움이 아주 많았음

Sound proofing of the rooms need to be greatly improved. Our rooms were upgraded 1 tier to the Superior Queen. These rooms come with balcony facing the main streets which are extremely noisy even during the wee hours as there are cars and bikes with modified exhaust zooming by. It could be as simple as replacing the old wooden door leading to the balcony with ones that are properly sealed.

The worst thing about this hotel is no cleaning provided everyday. I paid for almost 300+ per night I might as well stay at nearby 5 stars hotel. Also the Indian reception could be abit friendlier will be better. The myammar guy was really helpful and good. Super friendly. In order to go swimming pool was another area I found that is Abit weird. Also no mineral water was provided.

Entrance to the accommodation was not easy to locate as I passed at least thrice before figuring out where it is. The front desk closes at 6pm and there isn’t a lift so beware not to carry too heavy. The stack where my room is not soundproof and was offered a family room upgrade on a different stack. Overall the stay was pleasant as it’s right in the middle of the new town and a tourist attraction with lots of local coffee shops. The room was rustic but clean with pleasantly strong air conditioning to deal with the heat, so I left well despite the rooms not soundproofed. I look forward to stay here again next time I visit Ipoh

Hard to find and then ok

It was very hard to find the check in counter of the hotel, which definitely doesn't look like a check in counter. Also, nobody was there, you are expected to call a number written on the desk (if you can?!). The rooms are clean and nice. But you can hear everything happening in the other rooms and in the aisle.

Receptionist was rather rude. The pool is dirty covered in moss. Sound proofing is bad. Not much going for the hotel except the “sekeping” design which it used to be part of.

Great location, a bit noisy

Hotel was in a great location, centre of the old town. Host was very helpful and nice to deal with. Hotel is difficult to find (halfway down an alley) and be mindful before booking there is very limited soundproofing, especially with a leaf blower starting up at 7.30am outside. Bed was comfy, but wouldn’t recommend to someone wanting a good night sleep.

Convenient location, clean but not conducive.

It’s a no frill stay, rustic industrial style. Very clean and the manager is helpful. Location is very good, right in the middle of the touristy old town. There are shared fridge and cups in the common pantry. Some rooms comes with en-suite shower and toilet. Not suitable for elderly and some rooms face the main road with no sound proof. Good thing I brought along a mosquito UV lamp.
