"After we booked, and paid for, a room the hotel sent us a message saying (in Spanish - which I was able to translate because of a basic knowledge of the language) that the hotel was closed because of water inundation. They followed up with a shorter message simply saying that the hotel was closed. So, we had to find another hotel at short notice. The hotel should not have been listed as available."

"The Avila Parador was delightful - excellent staff and a central location within walking distance of the restaurants and sights. The one problem is parking - there are comparatively few parking slots at the hotel. When we arrived, we were able to park the car temporarily in the hotel car park (blocking several other cars!) whilst unloading our cases.
