"Yes, in the street which runs past the hotel there are shops and bar. Walk one way takes you to the Castle the other to the ports and ferry. The street is pedestrianised, but that is Italian style---so look out for cars , motor bikes etc. "

To be fair, it does state to contact the establishment 24 hours before, to arrange check-in, so there's that! I arrived the next day, around 10:55, buzzed the door, with no reply. "The location is great but lot of the service don’t work the restaurant was closed for lunch or dinner ,the phone in the room didn’t work but charged 4 euro to bring the breakfast in the room but I had to go downstairs !! If you wanted a pool towel they wanted ten euro a day mmm"

"The grounds were beautiful. It is not walkable outside of the hotel so you need to take a bus or get a cab if you do not have a car. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only big issue were the rooms. Ours was very moldy, even the mattresses had mold on them. "
