"We began our stay in Ischia recuperating from the trip at Samiramis. We moved Albergo Macri as a home base for day trips around Ischia and to Naples, Pozzuoli and the Amalfi Coast. We were very conveniently located to take ferries and buses for those day trips. There is an excellent restaurant just down the block, and many more around the port and further into Ischia Porto. The owners were very hospitable. Excellent value. "

"This is the perfect lodging for your stay in Ischia. It's a short drive from the Ischia marina, where the ferry drops you off, but the public bus (less than 3€ a ride) is right outside of the hotel to get you back to the Ischia Marina where there are countless bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping on the island, or to Fario where you unlock another world of the island. So convenient! The hotel staff themselves are so accommodating, as well. The staff during our stay didn't speak...

"Here you book a room in an apartment, not a hotel. There is no reception, someone comes upon arrival and departure and gives you the key to the apartment and your room. You can stay in contact by whatsapp and get helpful information for your holiday. If there are no other guests in the other 3 rooms, you have the large balcony to yourself. The building is typical of Italy, very close to the neighboring houses, so you should keep the shutters closed all day to prevent the neighbors from seeing...

"Via Roma on Ischia begins in the port. Hotel Conte is at the start and continues close to shore bringing you to the point. It has so many places to eat and shop that you don't need a car unless you want to explore other parts of island.
