"After booking, we repeatedly messaged the hotel for directions and only got a reply at 7:55am on check-in day, telling us the only boat left Cartagena at 8:15am. No way to make it. They then sent a contact for a 9am boat costing 90k + 30k port tax, though cheaper 70k options exist. Given boats run only until 9am and transport can cost as much as two nights’ stay, this should be clearly stated before booking – we could easily have missed the first night. "The treetop bungalows were unique and a special lodging experience. We had tree monkeys visit us for 2 of our 3 days on our deck. The room was clean with nice amenities like a fresh water ice machine & air conditioning. Gratis bikes were a great way to get around the property - and the private island was a nice feature with complementary boat rides running every 15 minutes."
