Corran House Guest House & Hostel
10/10 Excellent
"spent two nights here in Oban in June. 2026. absolutely loved this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat. It's a very old building but the rooms have been renovated beautifully keeping the charming old features. pro tip. try to book room 6. it has amazing views and an ensuite. being an older pub hotel, you do get a private bathroom, but it is separated from your room by a few feet In a lot of the rooms. It's only a 5-minute walk to downtown Oban. make sure you go to the docks and get a huge serving of mussels fresh off the boat for £8. at a little green Shack right on the dock. They have a fully equipped kitchen downstairs. what I loved was the fact that for a very reasonable price you could buy food such as eggs, bread, yogurt, etc. for just a few pounds. They also had two fridges for customers to use. the staff were absolutely lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be staying the next time we go to Oban. which we will because we absolutely loved the town."

"This hotel was very clean and very well maintained. The room was a bit warm with no AC and it was unusual that the lobby area closed at 10:30 pm as it would have been a nice place to sit and have a drink or play cards. Everything else was great!!"

Perle Oban Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"This is a beautiful property with nice rooms that are very clean. We were in a standard twin and though it was not enormous we had plenty of room for the two of us and our suitcases. If you have a lot of luggage you may consider asking for a larger room. If you are taking the ferry out to the islands, you cannot beat this hotel for the location. It is located directly next to the ferry terminal and in the heart of shops and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is excellent. We had dinner there the first night and it was absolutely delicious. I did not realize that we did not have breakfast included in our rate so that was a little annoying but we used local coffee shops and also the hotel restaurant and it all worked out. The only thing is if you don't plan on using the spa you might consider using another hotel and saving some dollars. We got into too late the first night to take advantage of the 30 min complimentary time in the spa and got back too late from our excursion the following day too. So that amenity went to waste. Really not a big deal, I just wish I had known that the spa closed at 5:00 ahead of time so maybe we would have arrived earlier. Again, not really a big deal, just a little more than I might have spent if I had known. The location and restaurant made up for it. The hotel bar is open late and is a nice amenity after a long day of adventure. Oban is a charming seaside town with so much history and a beautiful waterfront and really can't be missed."

"A good overnight stopover after leaving a late boat at Mallaig . Centrally located hotel with parking adjacent to main road . Staff were helpful and obliged us with dinner tho the kitchen routinely closes at 8.30 . Bedroom had all the usual amenities . There was a nice library , whisky room available for guests ."
