"Let me say the breakfast offered by this hotel is substantially far better than any. I have experienced in another hotel anywhere so far. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. It is uncanny. It was exactly the location we wanted right by the beach. If we were going back to Margate, we would definitely come back."

"Very clean and tastefully decorated on a quiet side street. Friendly and helpful staff, although I understand they aren't on-site on Mondays and Tuesdays. We chose room 2 on the top floor, which has a pleasant view of the street. It would benefit from a table on the other side of the bed and a brighter reading lamp! We found the shower controls to be a little stiff when altering the water temperature. Choose one of the higher numbered bedrooms if you have difficulty with stairs. Nice, reasonably priced cafe and well-stocked bookshop, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The sitting room has to be seen to be believed as it looks as it might've done when the hotel was built. The hotel has a small, chargeable car park to the rear but it's first come, first served. Free street parking is more miss than hit, but there is ample residential parking 10 minutes away on the Eastern Esplanade. There is also a convenience store across the road that is open long hours."
