Pros: Excellent breakfast; Professional and welcoming staff; Good amenities Cons: Reservations were canceled twice without a clear explanation, though the third attempt worked. We had a complimentary upgrade, but the assigned room had a strong odor; we declined the upgrade to move to a clean room.

The buffet for breakfast was fantastic every morning. Unfortunately the a la carte menu was awful. You cannot call it "a la carte". It was extremely limited and you could tell the food was from frozen. Hardly any choice. But the staff were extremely polite and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly and would think of coming again if the a la carte menu is improved.

The hotel is very good, always clean and shiny, housekeeper is very good, Tukay is accommodating. Thanks for the birthday surprise from the guest relation officer. Overall we enjoy our stay and can't complain any.

I was recently staying at Rotta Hotel, the lobby officials give a good service, as for pool and sauna areas the cleaning is bad just like in the rooms, the air conditioning does not work well, I went with my Telmo to get water at the restaurant and they denied me the service, they treated me badly and told me that I had to pay for the water, they wanted me to buy a bottle since the water in a large bottle was for the destination, it was not about paying for a bottle of water but in the way they told me, those who attend during breakfast time are friendly but those on the afternoon night shift have no idea what it is to give customer service, the Ramazan server along with the two older gentlemen who work there have made me feel the worst in my stay at Rotta Hotel, I will never set foot in that hotel again, he treated me with bad attitude twice, despite the fact that they do not know how to speak English to give a service

I had an amazing stay at Rotta Hotel and would highly recommend it! From the warm welcome at the reception to the impeccable service during breakfast, every member of the staff was professional, attentive, and incredibly friendly. The team’s attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction truly stood out. A special thank you to the management for maintaining such high standards of hospitality. The room temperature was stuck at 77°F (25°C), which was too hot for me, so if you need a cooler room to sleep comfortably, this might not be the place for you. The internet was unreliable—constantly disconnecting, and even when connected, it was either extremely slow or not working at all. Out of three elevators, only one seemed to work most of the time, and during busy hours it could take up to 15 minutes to get on. The restaurant’s air conditioning didn’t work for most of our stay, and there was no air conditioning in the lobby either. On the positive side, the staff were polite and friendly. A welcome basket of fruits was a lovely gesture, and we received bottled water every day. The rooms were clean, and the breakfast was good. However, the neighborhood seemed unsafe based on what I heard, and the hotel is located far from most attractions.

Good hotel but remember it's an old hotel.

Good facilities however the hotel is old. So don't expect new 5 star. The decor and wear and tear definitely shows. Also the noise travels quickly. Staff here are excellent and friendly. Quick to help. The staff here make up for the building being old and worn out. Bathrooms need a refurbishment or at least a new mastic seal all round.

The only person who does a great job in that location is just the cleaning lady. She did a excellent job. She’s so nice and the breakfast was really good other than that the Internet was bad transportation bad communication with the teams really bad. Fantastic Stay at Rotta Hotel Istanbul!** I recently stayed at the Rotta Hotel Istanbul and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is perfect – close to public transportation and key tourist attractions, making it easy to explore the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with any requests or questions. The room was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including fast Wi-Fi, a cozy bed, and modern amenities. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered a delicious variety of local and international options. The view from the rooftop terrace was simply breathtaking, providing a stunning panorama of the city. Overall, I highly recommend Rotta Hotel Istanbul for anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and well-located place to stay in this amazing city!

A nice hotel but seen it’s best days!

Its a nice hotell but it has seen its best days. It’s a lack of maintenance specially at the spa. Most of the lookers in the men’s looker room was out of funktion. There was only one shower with warm water and no water in the small pool. It was freezing cold where the big pool was. In the hamas spa the warm water only worked for half of the time we were there. We spent 11 days in at the hotell but only used the spa ones due to the poor condition. The staff was very friendly and service minded. Everything we asked for they tried to help us with. Note: if you have booked a room for 3 person they give you a room for 2 and put an extra bed in the room. The rooms are good and comfortable but also here there is a lack of maintenance. Our bath tub was leaking so we had to change room. And there is a lot of mould in the bathrooms. See pictures. It was a nice view but due to the dirty windows you can barely see anything. The breakfast is good with plenty of food. It’s very ”arabic inspired ” so if you are in to ”European breakfast ” i suppose you will bee disappointed. It’s a lot of clients from the clinics so be ready to sometimes have the feeling of eating in a hospital. The location is far away from the city center. If you go with public transportation it will take you about 1 hour and 30 minutes to get there. It’s like in an industrial area. The restaurant next door was a good restaurant we enjoyed.

A lot of things are broken in the hotel and needs maintenance.

In the bathrooms it’s a lot of mould (the ceilings in the bath tub) and water damage.

Cold welcome when we arrived. No smile from employee at check in desk. Didn’t give us any information about pool or breakfast timings. Bellboy parked our car and then takes us to our room where he tells us we need to pay for breakfast. I refused as I paid extra to include it in my booking. He refused and we both went back to the check in desk. I showed my booking to them all but the employee at the desk is STILL refusing and telling me breakfast is not included when it clearly states on my booking it is. After whispering with another colleague he apologises and said it is included - only because his colleague said, NOT BECAUSE IT CLEARLY STATES ON MY BOOKING that breakfast is included. Room had one tiny bottle of shampoo conditioner lotion when we have booked a room for 4 people. There should be at least four of each. When we went swimming they charged 250TL for a cheap head cap. I understand it’s policy but 250TL??? I’ve paid 100 at a much better hotel in a more popular area of Istanbul. Pool was nice but advertised a childrens pool, it was empty (no water). Rooms were not sound proof. Felt like windows were open too. The breakfast was nice and staff at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. Overall, wouldn’t stay again. Felt like we overpaid for this stay. Definitely wasn’t worth it.

The hotel room is not in good shape, very old and dingy! Smells like sewage in room sometimes and although we had a non smoking room, all rooms and the hotel smells like smoking.
