"Room amenities were not 4 star. No USB ports, no kettle, warm fridge, safe that didn't open, bedside wall light front plate fell off, no instructions on how to operate anything, no information about breakfast/dinner menus, bed sheets do not fit the bed. Room was clean, bathroom was very nice, hairdryer included. Staff pleasant and mostly helpful. Restaurant did not make a good impression at dinner. "Pro: AC worked very well, bed was very comfortable. Room was spacious. Con: Towels didn’t smell fresh. Shower didn’t drain properly. Staff made us wait to ensure they got their money from Expedia which I thought was really weird. All attention at check out went there and they didn’t ask if we had enjoyed our stay."

"We loved our stay at this absolutely charming and beautiful hotel Ypres. It’s set on extensive and beautifully landscape grounds only a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. Extremely well maintained to a very high standard, the staff was marvellous and the dining room was excellent. Staff very friendly, room clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Only drawback having only one lift operating which proved to be a little tedious at times. "A great home base for a cycling trip. The rooms were very clean and modern and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. There was a convenient and secure bike storage room in the garage with local bike services nearby. The many routes as detailed by the Centrum RVV all originate at the doorstep of the hotel. It was a very warm week in Belgium, so it was wonderful to relax with a drink on their backyard patio where there was both ample shade and a nice breeze. Would definitely...
