Property is modern, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Major defect: Impossible to read in room because of lack of lighting. Walking to downtown Sutter Creek is ify because of lack of sidewalks.

Major improvement

I stayed at this location in 2019 and it has been dramatically updated since then. The entire property is different. The rooms are modern, roomy and clean. Internet speed is excellent. The parking lot is large and it’s a short walk to downtown Sutter Creek for restaurants. Would stay here again!

Nice place in a cool old gold country town. Hotel seems new. Hotel's modern and clean. Comes with continental breakfast which is basic but nice to have. Hotel had coffee and tea available 24 hrs in the lobby.

If you book Theo Expedia they don’t tell you that you have to pay $150 incidental fee that they hold for 5-7 business days. Because I am a budget traveler I did not plan for that. The front desk guy failed to explain the charge and I ended up being told that because I didn’t have the 150$ for them to hold that the police would be called if anything happened with the room. I would never stay here again. Communication sucked and the breakfast was a joke. You’d be better off staying at the quality inn

Newly remodeled from top to bottom. Rooms very comfortable and quiet. Parking is plentiful and easy which is a plus for these gold towns. Walking distance to downtown though there aren’t always sidewalks.

Would be nice to have a light by the chair to sit and read. What is the purpose of 2 empty flower pots without anything in them. Convenient parking. Shower was good. Had plenty of clean towels. Staff was very pleasant. Gluten freee bread would be good.

Nice place in the process of improving

Room was comfortable and nice. Ongoing construction made it hard to get in and out of one of the doors. The night time clerk who checked us in had some kind of problem (a case of racism, maybe?) and ignored the bell until I went behind the desk to get her. It was an annoying start but we still managed to have a nice stay.

Nice Upgrade, but Details Yet to Address

The renovation isn’t quite complete, but a wonderful change from the hotel’s former life. Rooms could use ceiling light (or can lights) over the bed. Wonderful new beds and flat screen TVs. Breakfast are pretty minimal (bagels, fruit, yogurt, muffins), no hot food like the previous owner. New bar/bistro not complete.
