Amazing property, amazing host!

Excellent property, so welcoming and exceptionally clean! The host was very generous and went over the top to make us feel at home. Close to Camp Lejeune, which made it perfect for us while visiting family. Would absolutely recommend to others, and will stay here again if we visit the area again.

This was absolutely the best trip we have had to the area. We visit almost monthly to see family in the area. All of the kids agree this was much better than a hotel. Super caring and attentive to our needs. They went above and beyond.

Amazing place

It was such an amazing experience staying there. Chickens and birds are delightful sight and pick yourself fruit and veggies were special additions. I stayed there alone but I was not scared or felt lonely at all even there was no other guests in the house. The owners were so nice people and I loved how they kept the rooms cozy and clean. I enjoyed cooking from the morning eggs and loved the coziness there.

Robbie offered for us to check in early since we got to the area about 10:30am. Robbie went out of his way to make our accommodations better than was expected. He gave us tips on where to dine & activities in the area. He even gave us 2 dz pastured raised eggs from his chickens for us to take home with us. We’re grateful for making our stay comfortable & successful trip to the beach even on a busy holiday! L & R

We live locally and leveraged the “bungalow” to accommodate an overflow of guests in our house during a summer family get together. This is a nicely equipped Winnebago trailer that is detached from the house, and has a great front porch and all needed amenities. We will be using The White House again for future guests as it’s close in proximity and very comfortable. The owner is extremely kind responsive and helpful! Would recommend 10/10!

Nice Place

The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue we had was the door to the common room had blinds that let a lot of light in. The room was lit up at night making it difficult to sleep and the air conditioning unit had a rattle, but that’s not too uncommon for the type of AC.

This property is a short jaunt to my family's place in Stella, town nearby. I pulled in a bit later than the typical check in time (driving Boston to North Carolina was a bit longer than expected) and was greeted by the barn cats. After walking the property for a few (and taking more than a few pictures) I called Robert, the property manager, and was lead through the ins and outs of the property. I had been upgraded to the "Zen Suite" and it was very cozy, lots of activities and things to do. I exceptionally enjoyed the shower, which features a rainfall style water head and great water pressure. The bed was comfortable, plenty of extra pillows available if needed (I didn't, but when with my wife it's a common need) The location is just a short drive to Swansboro, plenty of shopping and food options, not more than a mile away. This is a great property, and the ownership is fantastic and can't wait to return this summer if it's in the cards

Beach trip

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Robby, our host, was friendly, quickly responded to our texts regarding any questions, gave us recommendations of things to do in the area and generally very helpful. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Television had a Roku, which was very nice. We weren’t sure what to expect so we brought our own device, but we did not need to use it. The house is shared, but I felt very safe staying there. The property is beautiful. It was fun seeing the chickens. This was a beach trip with my 16-year-old daughter and my last summer with her as she will be joining the military. Our host made this occasion memorable for us. Definitely would stay again.

The White House is a Must!

My son and I stayed at the White House right before he deployed. It is located just a few miles further past the base entrance, away from the crowd. We had the chance to enjoy the Zen Suite. That suite is right off of the beautiful kitchen. We had a chance to cook one of my son’s favorite dishes before he left. You have the kitchen access (stocked with dishes and some condiments/coffee, etc.) and can even wash your clothes. The occupancy was low while were there so we didn’t experience much in the way of other guests, but it did give us the chance to peek at the other nice rooms near ours. It was enjoyable and quiet. There was a lot of rain while we were there so we didn’t get to explore the grounds as I had hoped. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Ask them about local places to eat near the water. You can’t beat the White House for a place to stay. It’s reasonably priced and a lot for the money.

Home Away From Home

My husband and I were used to the typical cubicle hotel room, which was always the same and not interesting. When we arrived we were a little leery because it looked unconventional, but that ended up being the beauty of it. The virtual check in with Robbie was great and very informative. We were able to text him at any time with questions. We had a front porch with rocking chairs and being from the country, this was important to us. We rented the Zen Suite, which was awesome with a bedroom/bathroom, small dining room/living room with access to a great kitchen with an island, granite counter tops and three ovens. We were in the are for my a 93rd birthday party and I was able to cook cobbler for my mother-in-law. We had all of the comforts of home and really felt like we were staying in the home of family. The first morning we were greeted by a brood of chickens, who were very interested in us. The entire property was booked but we did not ever know anyone else was staying in the same place as us. We will definitely return to The White House on Freedom Way. They were great to work with and are definitely "our kind of people." Thanks Robbie, Rick and Mark, great job for providing a unique and enjoyable home away from home.
