I felt safe and cared for and although Portland has some bad eggs roaming around I would stay here again because of how safe and cared for the staff made me feel. "Very easy to check in, the room was clean and cozy, the common areas were also very cozy and well-stocked with everything you could need, especially the kitchen. The restaurant next door was a bit loud at peak time of the evening, but that quieted down by the time we wanted to sleep and from then on it was nice and quiet. "The Hoxton is alright. It's a hipster hotel trying to hard to be a hipster hotel. They gave us two White Claws at checkin. That was a first. Our room was small. Super small. Like fighting NYC's tiny rooms for smallest space still rentable. Honestly nothing really bad to say. Nothing super good either. Other than you could actually get the room very dark at night. Bonus points for that. The mini fridge didn't work. The light switches were bananas. We finally got it sorted on our way out the door....
