Good Experience

I recently stayed at Welcomhotel Katra for two nights. While the overall experience was pleasant, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. To start with, the check-in process was disappointing. Although I arrived about 60 minutes later than expected, the hotel still took another 30–35 minutes to hand over the room keys, which wasn’t a great start. The room provided was comfortable, but I was a bit let down again as I had specifically requested a room with a good view — unfortunately, that wasn’t fulfilled. However, as my stay progressed, the warmth and hospitality of the hotel staff made a real difference. I spent most of my time at the property and would still recommend this hotel primarily because of the amazing staff. Everyone was polite and helpful — so much so that if I start naming people, I’ll have to mention almost everyone! Still, I must give a special mention to Mr.Jagdev, who stood out with his humility and dedication. His service truly made a mark. The chef Mr Ankit also deserves appreciation — every meal was cooked to perfection and exactly as per our preferences. To sum it up, no hotel is perfect, and this one isn’t either. But if you’re looking for a peaceful, staff-friendly place in Katra, this is a good pick — you won’t regret it. I would just request the management to introduce more in-house activities to keep guests engaged during their stay.
